The Moon travels 360 degrees in 27.25 days, which is one complete circle thru each of the twelve signs. The same is true for a woman s menstrual cycle.
When a woman has her menstrual cycle, find out what sign the Moon is in on that first day and use that as the lagna starting point. It will take approximately 10 days to travel 4 signs. On the 11th day it will reach the 5th house, indicating the most ideal time for conception to take place.
This can only be possible however, when the starting lagna is not being affected by either Rahu or Mars. A healthy woman can have her menstrual cycle in the same nakshatra every month. In case it falls in a house being affected by either Rahu or Mars, she can then alter the timing of her periods by taking birth control pills. Once the menstrual cycle falls in the proper house, then conception can occur on the 11th day which is equivalent to the Moon s travel from the 10th to the 16thNakshatras every month for maximum fertility.
The travel of the moon thru the 5th house (house of child) and the 6th house (House A for childbirth in a female chart) is the proper period for fertilizing a woman s egg.
The dasa must be favoring childbirth as well. If the dasa is of the 10th house lord or its samdharmi, then it will produce a male child.
If the points in Houses 3, 6, 10 and 11 are in rising order, then the first child in a male chart will generally be a female. The dasas in both male and female charts must be in favor of childbirth to begin with.
There should not be a zero in the 9th house for either the male or female charts.
If Mars is placed in either house D or E, (2nd or 10th), there is more chance of a
miscarriage. This is also the case if Rahu is in either the 1st, 9th or 11th house.
The houses A, B, C, D and E, plus the nakshatras in those houses are all good for conception, so the menstrual cycle should ultimately be in the 9th from these houses.
